Cumbria floods - Insurers again found wanting

As if the poor people in Cumbria haven`t suffered enough, some also seem to be having trouble reaching their Insurance companies. Admittedly, access and assessment haven`t been easy but a little more information might help. 

The ABI are happy to provide the press with estimates of the cost of the damage, but the time would be better spent having a whip round amongst members for some newspaper advertising to provide some basic instructions. Tell them to take some photos, make a list and pile everything up in the garden pending the arrival of an adjuster. It would be relatively cheap to do and what a great PR opportunity wasted.
