The evolution of "partner" insurers, and the need to feed them more business in return for higher commissions, must compromise a broker's independence. Mix in sales targets, add ons, market rate increases and admin fees and the question has to be asked "Whose side are you on?"
The Insurance Manager firmly believes that the clients' interests are, and should remain, paramount. This worked well enough in the past before brokers, with a few honorable exceptions, embraced the role change from advisers to salesmen.
